Battling hubris and writing down amazing

One thing that this year has taught me is that you have to be thankful for what you have, and constantly fight against the inclination to complain. I have had the opportunity to do some amazing things this year. If I ever complain or seem to complain. You all have permission to smack me and remind me of this post. I try and catch myself, but you have permission to help me.

A few highlights:
Trip to India, to the Taj Mahal, and Germany
Performed again at the Poway Center of the Performing Arts MET2
Found a wonderful program for the piano called Synthesiagame.com
My parents 50th anniversary
Countless family accomplishments to (Trombone solos, to saving tackles in football, singing lessons, the list goes on).

Some quotes which impressed me:
I have found out there ain’t no surer way to find out whether you like people or hate them than to travel with them.
-Tom Sawyer Abroad (Mark Twain)

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.
– Innocents Abroad (Mark Twain)

The first follower is what tranforms a lone nut into a leader…
